A 100th anniversary is an extraordinary milestone. It is an opportunity to pause for a moment, look back with pride on the journey we have travelled, and remember all the generations who have left their mark. At the same time, it is also an opportunity to look ahead – towards new ideas, opportunities, and challenges that will shape the next chapters of our story.
Our anniversary celebration on Saturday was therefore more than simply marking an important milestone. Above all, it was a celebration of people – everyone who has helped build TRO over the decades, and everyone whose knowledge, experience, and dedication continue to shape the company today.
On this special occasion, we were honoured by the presence of Mr Tibor Šimonka, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, and Ms Katja Pokeržnik, President of the Koroška Chamber of Commerce. Their presence gave our anniversary even greater significance and represents important recognition of TRO’s many years of work, perseverance, and contribution to the economy and the wider community.
Our century-long history continually reminds us that a successful company is built on more than products, technology, and business results. It is built on people. Their knowledge. Their experience. Their dedication. Their willingness to seek new paths and take a step forward, even as the world around them changes.
An important role in continuing this story is also played by Boris Pipan, owner and Managing Director of TRO, and Sebastijan Suhovršnik, Managing Director of TRO. Together with the team, they continue the journey begun by the generations before them, leading the company into the future with an appreciation of the significance of a century-long tradition and the responsibility that comes with it.
That is why we look back on our past with pride, embrace the present with gratitude, and look to the future with confidence, curiosity, and courage.
A hundred years of tradition gives us strong foundations, but it does not hold us back. On the contrary, it gives us the knowledge, experience, and confidence to continue our journey, embrace new challenges, and create opportunities for future generations.
As we celebrate this anniversary, we extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has been and continues to be part of the TRO story – generations of employees and former colleagues, our customers, business partners, and everyone who has placed their trust in us throughout the decades.
